Chiropractic Philosophy is it NEW?

Is the Chiropractic Philosophy new or is it a modern adaption of ancient studies. This study of 23 century old Traditional Chinese Medicine TCM indicates and stresses what modern studies are proving today. Keeping the body in balance results in a healthy body. The perfect example is the Emperor’s Pillow”.
When the Emperor demanded the perfect sleep the scholars understood TCM, and to keep yinyang in balance they had to keep the head in alignment with the body thereby allowing the perfect balance. To accomplish this they made a wood block, sized to the emperor’s head with a hole for the ear. This kept the head in alignment to the body allowing the yinyang balance during sleep. With this invention they proved that the sized head support was the answer to perfect sleep and health.
The wood block and the many variations had to be adjusted weekly as the body adjusted to living. This meant only the well off could afford the perfect sleep. To allow the regular Chinese a good sleep the Emperor’s scholars designed a bag filled with husk material. This was second best but because it was inexpensive and easily adjusted nightly, it solved the sleep problem.
Modern research shows that the brain heals the body if the body is allowed to sleep in alignment. The yinyang are in balance when the body is in alignment.
Could the development of the head support be the reason why many Chinese people are healthy into their 100 years?
Over time the Europeans developed the mattress for body comfort. Then square pillows became the rage as they looked good on the mattresses. People started using these bed pillows for head supports and sleep/neck problems followed.
The modern round sized sleeping pillow is the only pillow shape that conforms to the mattresses thereby can be traced to the first perfect sleep device. Round conforms on both sides and the stress points form directly under the head weight while conforming into the neck area giving full support.
Chiropractic Philosophy is if the body is kept in alignment the body will stay healthy; YinYang balance. Chiropractors keep the body in alignment during the day but only a pillow sized for your body structure and sleep position can keep your body in alignment during sleep.
Exert: YinYang Symbol – if you look closely it is round and conforming together.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), system of medicine at least 23 centuries old that aims to prevent or heal disease by maintaining or restoring yinyang balance. China has one of the world’s oldest medical systems. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal remedies date back at least 2,200 years, although the earliest known written record of Chinese medicine is the Huangdi Neijing (The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine) from the 3rd century bce. That opus provided the theoretical concepts for TCM that remain the basis of its practice today. In essence, traditional Chinese healers seek to restore a dynamic balance between two complementary forces, yin (passive) and yang (active), which pervade the human body as they do the universe as a whole. According to TCM, a person is healthy when harmony exists between these two forces; illness, on the other hand, results from a breakdown in the equilibrium of yin and yang.
